Accounting Controller

As our Accounting Controller, you’ll be the financial guardian of our Dutch entity, ensuring everything runs smoothly and in line with Dutch GAAP. Your sharp eye for detail will keep our financial reporting on point, and your drive for process improvements will help us scale even faster!

You’ll work closely with a dynamic team, bringing your collaboration skills to the table while helping us hit our financial goals. If you’re all about precision, compliance, and making an impact in a scale-up company, we can’t wait to meet you!

Yescapa and Goboony are the two leading players in the campervan rental industry. Following our merger last year, we have created Europe’s largest online campervan-sharing platform (like Airbnb, but for campervans). With over 35,000 campervans we connect campervan owners and travel enthusiasts.

What you’ll do

You will join our international finance team, while working fully remotely! Your responsibility will be to oversee and ensure the accuracy of the financial reporting for our Dutch entity. Next to this:

• You will be responsible for the monthly and annual closing, and making sure it is compliant with Dutch GAAP

• You will be monitoring and controlling the cash flow to optimise financial stability.

• You will supervise accounting entries, bank reconciliations, and tax filings, ensuring everything is on track.

• You will implement improvements in financial processes and internal controls to drive efficiency and reduce risks.

• You’ll collaborate closely with the Accounting Officer and stay up to date with industry best practices. You’ll also present recommendations for improvements.

• You will have lots of fun working in a young and international team!

Meet your future team

Now let's talk about you

• You have at least 3 years of experience in controlling or a similar financial role

• You have a degree in accounting, finance or business administration (or something equivalent)

• You are fluent in English

• You have a strong knowledge of the Dutch GAAP and accounting regulations

• You are proficient in Excel, Google Sheet & ERP systems

• Experience with Exact (our accounting software) is a plus

• Experience working in a remote international environment, preferably even at a scale-up company, is a plus

• You are open to change, eager to learn and have a can-do mentality.

• You are detail-oriented and highly organised

Important: you're based in and eligible to work in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, United Kingdom, or Germany. These are the countries in which we can employ people. We are not able to sponsor visas at the moment.
